A Plausible Final Fantasy X Inspiration?
The picture below is artwork from the talented DEITRIX. He claims that Final Fantasy X was not his inspiration for this piece of art, but I am unsure. If he truly believes that he was not inspired by Final Fantasy X, then I believe him. However, the resemblance to Anima is uncanny.

No way...!!! I don't think they look at all a like.
That Anima character looks like the blind claw guy from Resident Evil 4 more than my character...
I was trying more for a reptile skin texture than anything else.
As soon as I figure out this modeling program I will have to do some finished works..
At least I know what the ending of FFX is now... lol
You know what it is. That one area where it opens makes it look like a reptile. I think that is why Final Fantasy X came to mind. Looking at it again, I think you might be right.
By the way, this has nothing to do with the ending of FFX.
If I had the time I would do my own paintings of game characters, it would be a never ending list tho...
You made a nice start with Metal Gear.
