Resident Evil 5 Trailer

Less than 1 week after Konami released live gameplay footage of Metal Gear Solid 4, Capcom responds by releasing an original Resident Evil 5 trailer.

The trailer accentuated an immensely humid climate that was littered with enemies. Players will be in control of a protagonist named Chris Redfield (from Resident Evil 1) in Resident Evil 5. Avid Resident Evil fans tout him as being the best Resident Evil character. We can infer from the trailer that the gameplay will be similar to Resident Evil 4 because of the over the shoulder perspective. This view was somewhat tedious in Resident Evil 4 because of limited peripheral vision. I hope you will be able to move and shoot simultaneously because you could not in Resident Evil 4. The inability to run and gun puts anyone at an enormous disadvantage. The jury is still out on whether Capcom will address this issue. Resident Evil 5 is slated for a 2009 release date.
